Areas of expertise in your practice, consultation, and teaching:
Having training in neurology and psychopharmacology allows me to diagnose and treat 
complex mood and anxiety problems, and my training as a psychoanalyst allow me to
work with patients in depth on problems requiring psychotherapy or psychoanalysis.
I work individually and in groups teaching residents in training with the U.C. Dept. of Psychiatry, 
and regularly do presentations to U.C. Dept. of Neurology faculty and residents on working with
emotional aspects of neurological illnesses.
I have written and continue to do research on the psychological background and best treatment 
of individuals with conversion disorders.
