Research DivisionThe Research Division of CPI fosters the development of research and scholarship skills in faculty and professional colleagues by supporting ongoing work of interest to the community and of significance to the practice of psychoanalysis. Every year, through the Research Fund, the Division awards small grants to qualified individuals to pursue and develop worthy topics. CPI research projects have achieved distinction through publication in the Journal of the American Psychiatric Association, The Psychoanalytic Study of the Child, and other professional publications, and through additional funding from organizations such as the Ohio Endowment for the Humanities, the University of Kentucky, and the American Psychoanalytic Association. Researchers have been invited to present papers as far away as Moscow and have welcomed to Cincinnati research fellows from lands as distant as Rwanda. In addition, CPI publishes yearly The Internal Journal, an update of unpublished research projects being carried out by faculty and students. |
